Fertilisation

Fertilisation is the process that consists in bringing into a cultivated area, such as soil, the mineral elements that are necessary for the development of the plant. These elements can be made up of two different types : Fertilisers and Soil Amendements.

  • Organic Amendements : helps nourish the soil
  • Organic Fertilisers : helps nourish the soil and develop the Microbial Flora of the Earth
  • Organic-Mineral Fertilisers : helps nourish the soil, the micro organisms and bring the required mineral elements for the development of plants.

In order to develop plants require water, light, carbon dioxide, oxygen and mineral elements.
The air supplies carbon dioxide (CO2) and oxygen (O2) that are fixed through photosynthesis.
The mineral elements and water are supplied via the soil. The principal mineral elements are NITROGEN, PHOSPHOROUS, POTASSIUM, MAGNESIUM, CALCIUM and SULPHUR. Minor elements called TRACE-ELEMENTS are equally necessary in smaller amounts : IRON, MANGANESE, ZINC, COPPER, BORON, and MOLYBDENUM. The needs of the plant evolve during its development. At the different stages where they are required, the mineral elements must be taken up from the soil by the plant. They must be available in sufficient quantities and in an suitable format. If these elements are not available at the right moment, the growth of the plant will be limited, and the crop yield will be less.

At GERMIFLOR, Organic Matter is our craft. Our concern is that the Earth and the Plant are well nourished.
Knowing how to restore to the soil the organic and mineral elements that the plant needs for its development, and at the same time preserving the environment.
